Chapter Philanthropy & Service
In addition to national partners, collegiate chapters also support local causes through philanthropic fundraising and hands-on service on their campuses and in their local communities.
Our chapter prides itself on how involved we are with different philanthropic organizations. We help out as much as we can. One of our local philanthropies is the Muscular Dystrophy Association. They have an annual MDA walk at the Tulsa Zoo and we always try to attend. One of our sisters has muscular dystrophy so this organization is very important to us. By attending this event we show our support for not only all of those with this disease, but also to our sister who is very dear to us.
We are also involved with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundations. They have annual walk so we try to always attend and raise money for this organization as well.
We are always looking for different ways to help out our community. We just recently starting working with local nursing homes. We made cards for the residents for Valentine's Day and passed them out. You could tell that this made their day and that they really appreciated it. We are planning on doing something for our local nursing homes every month.
As you can see we like to work with a variety of organizations and helping out others is very important to us.
